Gingerbread House

1: Combine Vegetable Shortening and Sugar in a stand mixer.

2: Add molasses and eggs one at a time until fully combined.

3: In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients then slowly incorporate into the Shortening mixture.

4: Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight).

5: Roll out the dough between two pieces of parchment and cut out your house pieces.

6: Bake at 350° F until the edges are slightly brown, baking time will vary based on thickness of pieces.

7: For royal icing, combine ingredients in a stand mixer with the whisk attachment and whisk until bright white.

8: Adjust consistency of icing to your liking.

9: Decorate the gingerbread house with royal icing and your favorite candies.
